Corpus Christi Bay & Ingleside Fishing Charters with Captain Justin | Clean Fun Fishing

If you're looking for a Corpus Christi Bay or Ingleside fishing charter, I'd love to help you experience some of the best inshore fishing the Texas Coast has to offer. My name is Captain Justin, owner of Clean Fun Fishing, and I guide fishing trips throughout Corpus Christi Bay, Ingleside, and the surrounding Coastal Bend. Every trip is planned around the day's weather, tides, water conditions, and seasonal fish movements to give my customers the best opportunity for a successful day on the water.

Corpus Christi Bay is one of the largest and most diverse bays on the Texas coast, offering everything from expansive grass flats and shallow shorelines to deeper channels and protected coves. The nearby waters around Ingleside provide quick access to productive fishing areas that consistently hold redfish, speckled trout, black drum, and sheepshead throughout the year. Because I fish these waters regularly, I can adjust our location based on changing conditions instead of relying on the same spots every trip.

I run an 18-foot Freedom Patriot flats boat that's designed specifically for inshore fishing. Its catamaran hull delivers a stable ride while allowing us to fish shallow areas that larger boats often can't reach. Whether we're working a shoreline, drifting a grass flat, or targeting deeper water during seasonal changes, the boat allows us to spend more time fishing and less time traveling.

Most trips launch from the convenient public boat ramp in Ingleside at Cove Park, giving us quick access to productive fishing grounds. One of the advantages of this area is the variety of water available within a short run. If wind conditions change during the day, we can often move to more protected water while continuing to target active fish.

Fishing opportunities are excellent throughout the year. Spring brings warming water temperatures that trigger aggressive feeding from speckled trout and redfish. Summer mornings often produce excellent trout action before shifting our focus to redfish and black drum as temperatures rise. Fall is one of the most consistent seasons as cooling temperatures concentrate baitfish and increase feeding activity. Winter offers quality opportunities for black drum, oversized redfish, and trout around deeper water and protected shorelines.

Every charter is customized to current conditions rather than following a fixed routine. Depending on what the fish are responding to, we'll use live shrimp under popping corks, Carolina rigs, free-lined bait, or artificial lures. I enjoy explaining why we're using certain techniques and helping customers learn more about inshore fishing along the way.

Clean Fun Fishing welcomes anglers of every skill level. Many of my guests are families with young children or adults who have never fished before. I take pride in creating a relaxed environment where everyone feels comfortable asking questions, learning new techniques, and enjoying the experience. Whether you're hoping to catch your first redfish, speckled trout, mangrove snapper, black drum or simply spend a day on the water with family and friends, I'll tailor the trip to fit your goals.

I also maintain a no-alcohol environment on every charter. Families appreciate knowing they'll spend the day with a captain who focuses on safety, professionalism, and creating a positive atmosphere where everyone can enjoy themselves.

Many of my customers return year after year because they know they'll receive honest communication, quality equipment, and a guide who works hard from the first cast until the last. My goal is to provide every guest with a memorable experience, whether we're catching a personal-best fish or introducing a child to fishing for the very first time.

Bring sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, weather-appropriate clothing, snacks if you’d like, and a valid Texas fishing license. I provide the rods, reels, tackle, bait, drinks, and fish cleaning, so you can focus on enjoying your day on the water.

Can you help me learn how to fish Corpus Christi Bay on my own?

Yes. My Texas Inshore Fishing Membership is designed for anglers who want to become more confident finding and catching fish on their own. I teach how to locate productive water, understand tides and weather, use Google Earth to study fishing areas, and recognize seasonal patterns along the Texas Coast.

What fishing techniques do you use in Corpus Christi Bay?

Fishing techniques depend on the season, weather, tides, and where the fish are holding.
