Rockport, TX Fishing Charters with Captain Justin | Clean Fun Fishing

If you're looking for a Rockport, Texas fishing charter that puts families, beginners, and experienced anglers on fish, you've come to the right place. My name is Captain Justin, owner of Clean Fun Fishing, and I've spent 7 years fishing the waters around Rockport, Aransas Bay, Copano Bay, St. Charles Bay, Port Bay, Bayside and nearby estuaries. Knowing how these waters change with the tides, seasons, and weather helps me consistently put my customers on quality fish throughout the year.

Unlike larger offshore boats, my 18-foot Freedom Patriot flats boat is designed specifically for shallow-water fishing. Its catamaran hull allows us to access productive back lakes, grass flats, shorelines, and shallow bays that many larger boats simply can't reach. That means less time running and more time fishing.

Every trip launches from convenient public boat ramps near Rockport, allowing us to quickly reach productive fishing areas without long boat rides. Depending on conditions, we'll target the best water available that day, whether that's protected shorelines during windy weather or shallow flats during calm mornings.

Throughout the year, Rockport offers outstanding opportunities for redfish, speckled trout and black drum. Spring brings aggressive trout and hungry redfish onto the flats. Summer offers excellent early morning trout action before transitioning to dependable redfish and black drum. Fall is one of my favorite times as cooling water temperatures create some of the year's best mixed-bag fishing. Winter often produces excellent black drum and oversized redfish in deeper protected areas.

Most of my trips use proven techniques that consistently produce fish, including live shrimp under popping corks, Carolina rigs, free-lined bait, or artificial lures when conditions are right. Every trip is adjusted to current tides, weather, and fish activity so you have the best opportunity for success.

One thing that makes Clean Fun Fishing different is my focus on family-friendly fishing trips. Many of my customers are parents introducing their children to fishing for the first time. I enjoy teaching beginners, helping kids learn proper techniques, and creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable regardless of experience. Whether you're eight years old or eighty, I'll patiently guide you through every step.

I also maintain a no-alcohol environment on my boat. Families appreciate knowing they'll be fishing in a relaxed, professional atmosphere where the focus stays on safety, learning, and making lasting memories together.

Many of my customers return year after year and recommend Clean Fun Fishing because they appreciate honest communication, personalized instruction, and consistent effort to put them on fish regardless of conditions. My goal isn't simply to catch fish—it's to make sure every guest leaves with a great experience and memories they'll talk about long after the trip is over.

Reviews From Client Trips

By Evan Taniguchi:  Awesome trip with Justin this morning! He put us on some nice reds and a speck covering a lot of water whenever the bite slowed down. He is pleasant, very well organized and knows what baits work best in certain areas....an excellent guide! We highly recommend Justin!

By Steve Young:  Our fishing trip with Justin was fantastic. He has great knowledge of where to find fish and how to catch them. He is also a very nice person. My wife has a bit of trouble casting but Justin was happy to help with that. We had perfect weather and got our limit on sea trout, which Justin cleaned. I’m ready to do it again. You can’t go wrong with Clean Fun Fishing.

By Michael Gilliam:  Justin, just wanted to tell you that you did a great job out there. You were very kind and professional the whole time, even with those tough windy conditions. Really appreciate the effort you put in to make it a good experience. Well done.
